Welcome to the Ogbomoso city logo design competition!
Are you ready to make your mark on history? We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for designers, artists, and creative minds in and from Ogbomosoland. Ogbomoso, a city rich in culture, history, and vibrant energy, is on the hunt for a new logo that captures its essence, and we need your talent to bring it to life!
This is your chance to create a symbol that will represent the spirit of Ogbomoso for generations to come. Imagine your design on banners, clothing, and all official city materials – recognised not just in Ogbomoso, but around the world. Plus, the winner will receive a cash prize of ₦1,000,000 and the priceless honour of having their logo chosen by a prestigious judging panel, chaired by none other than the King of Ogbomoso himself – his imperial majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye (Orumogege III).
Competition rules
We want to give you as much creative freedom as possible, so there are just two simple rules:
- Originality is key: Your logo design must be entirely original. It should capture the heart and soul of Ogbomoso, reflecting its culture, history, and future, without borrowing from existing logos or copyrighted materials. AI generated designs will not be considered.
- Wearability: The logo must be versatile enough to be embroidered on clothing items like t-shirts and caps. Keep this in mind as you design to ensure your logo looks great in all formats.
Important information
- Submission deadline: All entries must be submitted by 30/11/2024 11.59pm.
- Selection process: The winning logo will be selected by a distinguished panel of judges, chaired by the King of Ogbomoso.
- Prizes: The winning designer will receive ₦1,000,000, and their logo will become the emblem of the city of Ogbomoso. The 2nd and 3rd runner-ups will receive ₦300,000 and ₦200,000 respectively.
- Eligibility: Participants must be resident or have a permanent resident in Ogbomoso.
- No winner: If no logo wins the competition, we will rerun the competition for another 3 months.
By participating, you agree that the copyright of the winning logo will be transferred to the city and people of Ogbomoso. This logo will become a cherished symbol of our community, a reflection of our pride, and a beacon for our future.
